Explore our Methodology

1. RESEARCH

Research will be completed to understand the projects full extent. Including its design guidelines, previous signage, etc. We aim to understand the operational policy of the client, understand the user group issues and how these people interact in unfamiliar places. We also look at the unique characteristics of the architecture and site-specific constraints.

3. ANALYSIS

A full scale analysis will be completed to understand what signs will be going into the building and how they will be designed. Based on our survey the signs will be placed in a hierarchy, taking the user through the journey level by level. The complexity of the site will determine the number of signs required. Destinations should be ordered and grouped consistently. The most common is alphabetically, but by direction, priority location or function are other options.

5. PLAN

A plan will then be created to allow for a smooth and concise installation of the signage. From the survey and project brief, we apply ourselves to further define and understand the needs of all user groups. Visitors, staff, suppliers, clients – to gain a ‘feel’ for the environment and address the major issues of identity/marketing, budget, deadlines and key areas of concern.

2. SURVEY

A survey will then be completed of the entire building to fully understand its signage needs. Our expertise in providing a wayfinding survey will lead to an effective signing brief, which will provide the necessary basis for the wayfinding signage schedule and the sign system

4. DESIGN

Designs will be created and improved upon until the client is happy with the overall design of the full schedule. Our products are carefully designed to allow us to find an appropriate balance between one-of-a-kind and the flexibility of system signage. Whether you want the signs to blend in and complement the décor or stand out and be noticed, we will work to create the perfect sign for your project.

6. IMPLEMENT

The signage will then be installed exactly as designed and agreed with the client.
